Yesterday I was getting my fix of magazine reading at Borders and came across Boho. I guessed immediately that it was printed with soy ink and on eco-friendly recycled material by the feel and the non-glossy look the magazine had (I have seen this before in a surfer magazine a couple years ago). I knew I was right when I read on the cover "100 % re-cycled, re-styled, re-used", and "fashion's first eco magazine!"As I browsed through the pages, right away I liked the look and direction the magazine was heading. My only concern was that they might get stuck in this hippie or bohemian style that a lot of the eco-conscious clothing lines stay in. The articles are great, along with the eco saving tips and all the ideas they have shown in this issue. Just the fact that they use the recycled paper and soy ink makes it worth my time. This should be a good example for printed magazines to take the extra step and follow in Boho’s footsteps.
Boho may not be here to save the day, and may not be here to start a revolution, but it is definitely heading in the right direction. As long as they keep coming up with good articles and different styles of fashion are showcased, I will keep reading. With that being said, what are you waiting for? get your copy!
