Miya Anfo Stanoff

I have always been attracted to metallic pieces (actually somewhat obsessed). But not with the shiny chromed style, but more of the brushed metal or stainless steel finish.

With that being said, I was surprised to find metal art pieces like these by artist Miya Anfo Stanoff. Miya is an artist that works with metal sheets to create subtle, minimal works of art, just using items like a blow torch, pigments and lacquer. Her methods range from etching, sanding and drawing directly on the metal sheets. I would definitely like to see her pieces in person, because this is the kind of work and material I enjoy.

Sadly for me I could not find a website with her portfolio. But there is a YouTube video that shows a bit of her work process, and I also found a few pieces for sale on artnet.com.
