3 wonderful shots from photographer Simon Priestly based out of the U.K.
I enjoy the calm that's being translated in his pictures along with a good-enough-touch of shadows that absorbs some of the edge and creates slight mystery to-it-all. Just the addition of a chair in large empty room with high ceilings sprouts a whole different feeling to the shot (that wouldn't have been there without it). This also amplifies the emptiness.
Also in the first picture you have the product of an experiment using several coloured torches fixed to a pin wheel (which reminds me of those old-school multi-colored lollipops) that sum up to compose a pleasant colorful shot.

Very nice shots. I love that second one - you're right - there certainly is a bit of a mystery that the chair adds to an already beautiful photo.
Hi.. the third pic is awesome..I agree with victoria that the chair does add mystery to the second pic..
Victoria- yes indeed... you can see his similar style on the hallway picture as well. I wish I had a camera to experiment :(
JD- Yes the third picture is captivating. In that picture the lines of the bricks helps to display the dimension and the distance. But also the out-line of the bricks towards the end get darker because the lines are closer, therefore presenting a path and blending into the center larger shadow. Great spot overall.

Katie-Yes it has been... I am doing well right now but fearing the hot, dry, days, that are slowly creeping in, here in Southern California. I shall check your blog in a minute to see your photography... I am sure you have a few new shots.
I'm glad you like my blog layout, some other have had mixed opinions.. so to speak. lol
How is your magazine going?
Yeah... you can see the photos alot better like that. Well the size helps...but it works well with the centered lay out.
And about the magazine,well... intention for the magazine is there. I will write an update post about the magazine in the entry.
